Artifactory supports old version of binaries

This post was updated on .
Heard that Artifactory will pull the latest version of 3rd party libraries from their site to local Artifactory repository. Later, the users or builds (using Artifactory) can pull the latest libraries from Artifactory repository.

Does Artifactory work the same way to pull the old version of data/binaries from vendor site? Because we are having many legacy products to be build. So, would like to know whether Artifactory supports to pull old version.

Any inputs on this topic?

Let me see if I understand this correctly.  You have a remote artifactory repository pointing at a vendor site, correct?  If that is the case any version you application asks for will be requested from the vendor.  Assuming they have the file it will be downloaded to your artifactory.  'latest' doesn't have any effect on what is cached, we'll hold whatever is asked for.
