Deploy artifact and UI for classifier

Marziou, Gael
Hello,

Just started to use Artifactory and so far I'm impressed, nice name by
the way ;-)

In the "deploy artifact" area, the classifier input field is red which
is a little confusing because it suggests  the user have to fill it
while this is not mandatory.

Thanks,

Gael

How to run Artifactory/Jetty as a windows service?

Marziou, Gael
Hello,

Is there a way to run Artifactory+Jetty as a windows service?

Thanks,

Gael

Thanks for reporting this.
Created a JIRA issue: https://www.jfrog.org/jira/browse/RTFACT-80

Try to run the Jetty-Service.exe (new to 6.1.2, if I am not in error).

Other options you might want to consider:
1. Deploying on Tomcat (see "WAR File" at http://www.jfrog.org/sites/artifactory/latest/install.html ) and run Tomcat as a service.
2. There must be some trick to run the batch file as service.
3. File a JIRA request for this feature (can probably be done with Java Service Wrapper).

Marziou, Gael
Thanks, I chose to deploy in Tomcat 6.0.10 as I know it better than Jetty and it worked fine.

Hi,

If someone is interested I have installed artifactory as a windows service
using java service wrapper (option 3).

Joel Costigliola
