Docker Image Promotion

jshap999
I’m trying to promote an image from one docker registry to another but it seems however I do it (via REST endpoint or a move/copy in the gui) I lose the properties and artifactory loses track of it being docker related.  This leaves me with a 404 whenever I try to pull.  What is ‘promote’ actually supposed to be doing?  Would the promote endpoint and a move be equivalent?  Can I promote to a new namespace? I.e test/app -> production/app

Re: Docker Image Promotion

Hi,

It seems that you are reporting on similar issue as this one, which fixed already as a part of version 4.7.5. Can you confirm that you are running an older version than 4.7.5?

It is also important to mention that the user which perform the actual promotion should also have annotate permission on the target repository, otherwise, he will not be able to tag the relevant properties on the actual artifacts that you are trying to promote.

Confirmed. We were running 4.7.4 at the time and an upgrade fixed the issue.
