Exception in log file

Randall Fidler

Hello,

I’m seeing this warning in the log file...

2009-07-24 07:49:00,645 [WARN ] (o.a.j.c.q.l.QueryResultImpl:494) - Exception re

trieving Node with UUID: 8a83de6e-4281-4e74-bf94-8450fc8bb024: javax.jcr.ItemNot

FoundException: 8a83de6e-4281-4e74-bf94-8450fc8bb024

Any remedies?  Is it something to be concerned about?

Regards,

Randall

Hi Randall,

This kind of warning typically means that the index might be out of sync with the repo (which can happen from time to time since indexes are not fully not transactional). You can purge the index and force it to be recreated by removing the $ARTIFACTORY_HOME/data/index (while Artifactory is down) and restarting. Please allow some time for reindexing to complete - it may take a couple of minutes on a large repo.

Yoav,

How long should the indexing take?  It’s been sitting at the same spot (according to the log) for over an hour.

2009-07-28 07:34:16,990 [INFO ] (o.a.j.j.ArtifactoryConnectionRecoveryManager:35

3) - Database: Apache Derby / 10.4.2.0 - (689064)

2009-07-28 07:34:16,993 [INFO ] (o.a.j.j.ArtifactoryConnectionRecoveryManager:35

4) - Driver: Apache Derby Embedded JDBC Driver / 10.4.2.0 - (689064)

2009-07-28 07:34:16,996 [INFO ] (o.a.j.j.ArtifactoryDbDataStoreImpl:570) - Using

JDBC driver Apache Derby Embedded JDBC Driver 10.4.2.0 - (689064)

That’s the last entry in the log file.

Suggestions?

Regards,

Randall

Yes, it may vary and take more time if the machine is slow or IO-busy and the repo is large. As long as you see the CPU working and the index directory keeps growing in size, it means the index is being rebuilt and start-up will resume immediately thereafter.
