How to prevent specific artifact version from deleting

usammmy
I am looking to retain a particular version of an artifact forever but, max number of snapshots policy is enabled at the repo level which keeps deleting old artifacts.

Is there anyway that I can control delete permissions at the artifact level as this will be used for a one-time spike and does not apply for all artifacts.

I’d suggest to create a release for this artifact.
If this not an external release but you still want to keep it, create an additional repo for internal releases.
You would end up with 3 repo: snapshot, internal-releases, external-releases.

Best, Peter

Hi usammmy,

I doubt you can do this, but my approach would be to create another repo with the same layout but not automatic deletion, and copy/move those artifacts there.  Then set up your clients to fetch from a virtual repo which includes both of those repos.

Hope that helps,
