Re pository import not importing all artifacts

deaddowney

I'm not sure if this by design or not, but when I import a repository through
the web gui, I'm only getting jar files.  I have some other artifacts
(ivy.xml files) that are ignored.  Is there a way to have the import bring
them in?

If that's the case then it sounds like a bug (I suspect .xml files are being skipped). Which version are you using so that we can try to reproduce it?

Hi Yoav and welcome back :)

I'm not sure it's the same issue but I had a similar issue when switching
Artifactory (3.0.6) from built-in database to MySQL. I've exported
everything to disk, renamed a ".artifactory/data" folder and imported back
after plugging MySQL. Most of jars were imported but some (those that I had
to deploy manually in the past) weren't and I had to redeploy them manually
again. Also, I think all (or not all, I'm not so sure) our snapshots were
not imported as well. So it seems to import actually worked only for a usual
third-parties (or may be it didn't work at all and all third-parties were
just re-downloaded again?)

Hi Evegny,

You can easily know if artifacts are new or not by checking their age (in the general tab).
Normally, there would be errors or warnings in the log if artifacts are skipped from the import from some reason (bad poms, accept/reject patterns etc.).

I have created: http://issues.jfrog.org/jira/browse/RTFACT-1811
For followup and we will try to reproduce it and keep you updated.

Ah, I see it. Thanks ! Will review the logs if it happens next time but after
re-deploying things one time - we're just fine now.

I have the same problem with latest 2.2.0 version:
I exported a repository from one instance of Artifactory (version 2.1.3) and
imported to another one (version 2.2.0), and only jars are imported, poms
are not. From the exported data I can see that poms and jars are exported
fine.
