/browserepo showing 404 error

willbdaniels
So, today I was working on configuring one of our gradle builds, when all of the sudden I found I was unable to browse the repositories anymore. I can still do every other task (deploy/download artifacts/admin/etc) but the graphical browser browsing (ha!) is simply giving me a 404 error (see image: )

All the error logs are clean,  I'm using artifactory 3.40, and I'm really really stuck. This isn't technically 'essential', but it is a pretty high priority since finding the names of old artifacts I might need can be a disaster without this feature.

Any Ideas would be very much appreciated!

Regards,

-Will

For the record, I've had two users (coincidentally(?) in the same team) report this same problem to me in the last few days.  The problem only seems to last for a short span of time (minutes).  The problem is that, from the home page </artifactory/webapp/home.html>, clicking on the "Artifacts" tab (which appears to link to </artifactory/webapp/artifactshome.html>, when I hover over it), goes (redirects?) to </browserepo.html>, which doesn't exist.  When the problem is *not* occurring, that link goes to </artifactory/webapp/browserepo.html> instead (extra "/artifactory/webapp").

This is onArtifactory Pro Power Pack 3.3.0 (rev. 30104) running on Windows Server 2008 R2.  Not a show-stopper -- we have tens of users and I've never had this reported before -- but maybe this info will help track it down.

Regards,
Hugh.

I was having the exact same problem today on Artifactory Pro Power Pack 3.4.2 (rev. 30140)
Logged out - back in. Same problem.
Logged out - clicked browse anonymously from home page. Now working, even after logging back in.

Hi Hugh
Can you please try use Artifactory from a browser in “Incognito mode” and update if the issue still appears  ?  I suspect that this issue is related to the cache of the browser.

Hi Jidan,

if it happens again, I'll try that.  I seem to recall one user said that they'd already tried purging their browser cache, but I can't be sure.  It's never actually happened to me.

Is this worth raising a Jira ticket?

Thanks,
