checksum policy ignored?

bkate

Greetings,

I am using Artifactory 2.0.6 and I have a remote repository defined
(google's maven repo). The checksum policy for this repo was originally
"generate if absent", and I got this error when I tried to cache the guice
artifact:

2009-08-04 14:25:21,542 [INFO ] (o.a.r.HttpRepo      :160) - repo1:

2009-08-04 14:25:21,813 [ERROR] (o.a.c.c.C.[.[.[.[default]:260) -
Servlet.service() for servlet default threw exception
org.artifactory.io.checksum.policy.ChecksumPolicyException: Checksum policy

I tried changing the policy of the google repo in Artifactory to "ignore and
return generated checksum" but I still get the same exception indicating
that the 'GEN_IF_ABSENT' policy is in place. This is after reloading the
configuration and restarting the service. Any thoughts?

Does the checksum setting show up as "ignore and return generated checksum" when you return to the remote repository config dialog?
If yes, this might be a bug, so we'll look into it.

Yes, the dialog configuration and the configuration file both indicate that
the policy has changed, but the behavior remains the same.

Thanks Bryan,

I have created http://issues.jfrog.org/jira/browse/RTFACT-2042 for followup, and we'll try to reproduce it.
