Can you open http://localhost:8090/artifactory in your browser and see whether it really works?

Either your Artifactory instance is not running or you don't use the correct settings in your settings.xml. What have you specified in that file?

Please post your settings.xml. This sounds like you did not configure a plugin repository.

Re: plugin repositories not found

Yep. All <repository> and <pluginRepository> entries should point to

<url>http://epx-mcp:8090/artifactory/repo</url>

if epx-mcp is the name of the machine running Artifactory

BTW, I recommend that you put the following into your artifactory.config.xml to have different repositories for your releases and deployed snapshots:

<localRepositories>
  <localRepository>
    <key>local-repo</key>
    <description>Local releases</description>
    <handleReleases>true</handleReleases>
    <handleSnapshots>false</handleSnapshots>
  </localRepository>
  <localRepository>
    <key>local-snapshots</key>
    <description>Local snapshots</description>
    <handleReleases>false</handleReleases>
    <handleSnapshots>true</handleSnapshots>
  </localRepository>
</localRepositories>
